Meeting Overview

The 2013 Social Computational Systems (SoCS) Principal Investigators (PI) and Community Meeting will bring together PIs and researchers pursuing a broader Social Computing research agenda to explore the interdisciplinary research results generated by SoCS and to discuss the future of Social Computing research.

The SoCS PI and Community Meeting will include: interactive poster sessions that highlight progress on current SoCS projects, mini-tutorials on methods and techniques relevant to the broader SoCS and Social Computing community, a Doctoral Symposium to mentor students conducting relevant research, as well as an engaging keynote presentation.

Doctoral Symposium

The meeting will include a Doctoral Symposium for promising graduate students who are pursuing novel research aligned with the SoCS program goals. The details for the Symposium are posted on the Doctoral Symposium page.

 

Community Meeting

The meeting will include 10-20 individuals invited to attend from the broader Social Computing research community. Individuals who would like to attend should respond to the Community Meeting Call for Participation (CfP). Submitted position papers will be reviewed. Selected authors invited to attend the meeting.
