Assignment 3


This is a team assignment (5% of grade).
Due: Wednesday, February 1st (Assigned on Mon Jan 23rd)

Tasks:
The objective is to get a small Ubuntu “server” setup that will allow you to run some C and python tools that perform basic Wikipedia analyses. This assignment is covered in detail in an information guide that will be handed out in class. A high level view of the steps necessary to complete this assignment is:
  • Check out your server machine
  • Set up server with Ubuntu
  • Set up python environment and and C indexing tools
  • Load modules into the python interpreter to check that server was setup

  1. PDF or text file showing that python loads modules cleanly (no errors)
